GREG
J. BAGGERLY
Greg
Baggerly is the founder and Managing Consultant of the Vista
Consulting Group (VCG). Greg's duties include
all executive and administrative functions of the multi-disciplinary,
marketing-related economic development consulting firm
formed in May 1998.
Prior
to forming VCG, Greg worked as Regional Economic Development Specialist
for the Alamo Area Council of Governments. Gregs
duties at the 12 county regional planning organization in San
Antonio, Texas included the planning and implementation
of the "Defense Economic Conversion Program", which
monitored the affect of the Kelly AFB closure on the AACOG
region's rural counties.
Other
past positions included working in the Community Development Department
at the Village of Hoffman Estates, Illinois coordinating
with Deloitte & Touche, the implementation of a village-wide
economic development plan. Greg also was the first Executive
Director of the Economic Development Corporation of Park Ridge,
Illinois. Gregs duties at the public / private corporation
included the planning, implementation, and administration of economic
development plans to retain and attract economic activity in Park
Ridge. Greg also served as Economic Development Specialist
for The Greater Springfield (Illinois) Chamber of Commerce
Springfield / Sangamon County Economic Development Council,
the county-wide economic development agency, where his duties
included assisting with national business attraction efforts and
researching specific demographic and statistical data.
Greg,
a Springfield, Illinois native living in south central Texas since
1996, received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree, majoring
in Marketing, from Eastern Illinois University and has completed
the Basic Economic Development Course at the University
of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Greg is a past member of
the Texas Economic Development Council, American Economic Development
Council and Illinois Development Council.
